Zara Tindall’s husband Mike spills beans around ‘beautiful’ Father’s Day festivities | Royal | News

Former rugby player Mike spoke about his plans on the latest episode of his co-hosted podcast, The Good, The Bad & the Rugby. It was an episode mostly dedicated to discussing the Leicester Tigers’ premiership win, but father-of-three Mike and co-host Alex Payne also briefly discussed their weekends.

When Alex asked Mike if he watched the England game on Sunday, the retired player and sports fan surprisingly revealed he didn’t – but for a very nice reason.

The 43-year-old admitted: “I was having an amazing Father’s Day with the family so I saw the results, and I couldn’t go back through all of that.”

Earlier in the podcast, the star also shared that he would have liked to celebrate with his interviewees, Freddy Burns and Richard Wigglesworth of Leicester, but joked that family obligations meant he couldn’t.

During their conversation, Mike interjected: “If it wasn’t for Lena’s birthday, I would have met you somewhere!”

Lena is the youngest daughter of Mike and wife Zara, and she turned four on Saturday. The couple also share Mia, eight, and son Lucas, one.

Zara and Mike’s young daughters were among the company’s royal co-founders on the last day of the platinum jubilee celebrations.

Mia and Lena sat between their parents and looked intently at the scene unfolding before them.

Princess Anne’s daughter and granddaughter of the Queen tied the knot with former rugby union player Mike Tindall in 2011.
