You have no f—— idea (SE)

World No. 4 Paula Badosa was stunned after the chair umpire gave her a code violation for “aiming to hit a camera person.” On Friday, Badosa met Danielle Collins in the quarterfinals of the San Diego Open. Down a set and trailing 5-3 in the second set, Badosa took to the court and threw her racquet after not realizing a game point in the ninth game.

Badosa eventually managed to win the ninth game and cut Collins’ lead to 5-4, but then she was hit with a code violation. “You know, first, before her, there’s the camera. I threw it three meters away!

Yes, yes, three meters, and after this point! I mean, can you have some empathy? Can you have some empathy? No. No you did not. First time, first time in the game! The first time in the match I threw the racket.

It’s not anyone’s direction! It’s over there! Anyone’s direction? No. You have no f—— idea!” Badosa could have been heard saying that to the chair judge.

Badosa lost to Collins in straight sets

After the shift ended, Badosa had a chance to get back into the game.

But Badosa missed two break points in the 10th game as Collins managed to close out the match in two sets. After the win, Collins acknowledged that Badosa was a tough challenge. “I think today is just an example that no matter how well you play, no one is immune to bad days.

I definitely worked through some things on the court and it was really challenging at times, especially playing against Paula. She doesn’t give you a lot of free points and made me work for everything,” Collins said after beating Badosa. Interestingly, Badosa and Collins were playing each other for the first time.
