Motorcyclist killed in accident

A young woman was killed in a motorcycle accident on Westside Road Saturday morning.

That collision between a motorcycle and a truck occurred shortly before noon Saturday, just south of the Lake Okanagan Resort.

Emergency crews responded to the scene, but the 20-year-old woman who was riding the motorcycle died from the injuries she sustained in the crash.

Westside Road was closed for most of Saturday as police investigated.

While the road was cleared only in the evening, said Sgt. Kevin Duggan of the Kelowna RCMP says police are still investigating.
