Tiffany & Co. Kendrick Lamar Crown of Thorns Video

Tiffany & Co. just released a detailed look at the making of Kendrick Lamar’s “Crown of Thorns.” Seen wearing it during Louis Vuitton’s last Spring-Summer 2023 fashion show and performance in Glastonbury, Lamar worked with his creative partner and co-founder of PGLang Dave Free and Tiffany & Co for a high-definition piece of jewelry.

The Crown of Thorns takes one of the most iconic symbols of religious iconography and recreates it from high-gloss titanium into 14 individual parts of 50 rose-inspired thorns. It features over 8000 pebbled diamonds (a total of 137 carats) hand-set in Northern Italy. The final headgear took 10 months and more than 1,300 hours of work, divided between four craftsmen.

“Kendrick Lamar represents the art, risk-taking creativity and tireless innovation that has also characterized Tiffany & Co for nearly two centuries,” says Alexander Arnault, Executive Vice President, Product and Communications, Tiffany & Co. And very excited to work with a visionary like Kendrick in achieving his vision for the crown.”
