Prince Harry’s memoir is the “biggest threat” to the royal family, an expert has claimed. Royal author Katie Nicholl said the book has been “shrouded in secrecy” and the palace does not know what to expect.
Ms Nicholl’s comments come amid reports that the Duke of Sussex wants to make 11th-hour changes to the text, due to be published later this year, amid fears that some sections will not go down well in the aftermath of the late queen’s death.
The royal expert told ET: “I think the biggest threat, and certainly the biggest concern for the royals, is the upcoming autobiography of Prince Harry, which has caused a lot of consternation in royal circles.
“A lot of concern among senior royal sources and palace aides because they simply don’t know what to expect.
“There are a lot of rumors that Prince Harry may be making last-minute changes to the book. In light of the Queen’s death, perhaps the sensitivity of some of the passages he has written about.
“The autobiography has been shrouded in secrecy and I think it’s a case of belts and braces and the Palace is really preparing for what’s to come.”
