PM: Prince Charles must open his mind on Rwanda News

Boris Johnson reignited his row with the Prince of Wales over the government’s policy to send migrants to Rwanda when he accused his critics yesterday of having “outdated” ideas about the country.

Royal aides are believed to be frustrated as the uproar over the scheme is casting a shadow over Charles’ first visit to Rwanda and the first meeting of Commonwealth leaders in four years, where he stands as Queen.

The Prime Minister and the Emir will meet this morning in Kigali on the sidelines of the summit. It would be their first meeting since The Times reported that Charles had privately described Johnson’s policy on Rwanda as “appalling”.
