A man has been charged with the murder of his wife and daughter, whose bodies were found at their home in Suffolk.
Jillu Nash, 44, and her 12-year-old daughter Louise were found dead at a property in Great Waldingfield on September 8.
A 46-year-old man was detained at the scene after being found with serious injuries.
He subsequently spent five weeks in hospital in police custody before being transferred to Martlesham Police Investigation Center for questioning on Saturday.
Suffolk Police said on Sunday that Peter Nash, of Great Waldingfield, had been charged with two counts of murder.
An inquest into the deaths, which opened on October 7, heard that the property was the home address of husband and wife Jillu and Peter Nash, who lived at the property “with their 12-year-old daughter Louise, who had severe learning difficulties”.
Home Office post-mortem examinations found that Jillu Nash’s cause of death was pressure to the neck.
Her daughter died from a stab wound to the stomach.
Peter Nash has been remanded in custody and will appear at Ipswich Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
