Leeds have accepted a £60m offer from Chelsea for Ravenha

On the day Arsenal were expected to end the day with an agreed-upon deal for Ravenha, Chelsea swooped in and met Leeds United’s assessment of their Brazilian star.

Moving away from Elland has been on the table for some time, and while Barcelona and Arsenal both take a driving seat, Chelsea seem to have outsmarted them both.

Athletic and Fabrizio Romano have reported the deal, with the latter announcing that a £60m-£65m deal has been agreed, and Chelsea will now negotiate with Ravenha’s agent, Deco to agree personal terms.

Ravenha signed Leeds in the final hours of their summer 2020 deadline from Rennes for a £17m deal, and he has proven to be the most talented player the club has almost undoubtedly seen since 2004.

The 25-year-old scored 17 goals and 11 assists in 66 games, ending the 2021/22 season as top scorer and proving to be the difference-maker in keeping Leeds in the Premier League. At the time, Ravenha made his Brazil debut, making nine international appearances in total while playing at Elland Road, and had already scored three goals.

A fan favorite, a player who will get you out of your seat, and can pull off some of the outrageous moves many Leeds fans have seen in a white shirt.

Now, Leeds have the huge task of replacing him, with Cody Gakbo and Charles de Kettleri on their transfer target list.
