Knicks dump $19 million in cover space by trading Nerlens Noel and Alec Burks to Pistons

The New York Knicks have agreed to trade Nirlance Noel and Alec Burks for the Detroit Pistons, which will give $19 million in additional space as they are set to go after Jalen Bronson in free agency.

The Knicks will send the Pistons to the 2023 second round, 2024 second round through the Miami Heat, and $6 million in cash.

Nicks are now considered a strong candidate to sign Bronson with an offer of more than $100 million over four years.

The Knicks could also give Bronson the chance to be their primary playmaker.
