Just Stop Oil protesters block The Mall

The changing of the guard prompts the police to clear the road

Police search the protesters before removing them from The Mall.

Some of the activists have glued their hands together.

The police have said that they have to clear the way for the change of guard, which they have said starts in 15 minutes.

Pupils from Park Mains High School, Erskine, in Renfrewshire, are at the scene watching the protesters.

A teacher said, “Let’s take a picture with the activists!”

Another teacher talked a student out of filming a protester’s face.

The schoolboy said, “But they’re protestors, they want the attention.”

The teacher replied, “Don’t do that again. Wind your neck in.”
