During a new interview to promote their film Ticket To Paradise, YouTuber Jake Hamilton asked the couple how they saved each other’s contact information on their cell phones.
The Pretty Woman was quick to reveal that she had her co-star tagged as “Batman Cell”.
“There’s no picture, but George is in my phone codenamed ‘Batman Cell,'” Julia explained, referencing George’s title role as the Caped Crusader in 1997’s Batman & Robin.
“Now I’m going to change that!” she added.
“And mine is ‘Pretty Woman’,” George chimed in in a nod to Julia’s hit 1990s film with Richard Gere – before promptly adding: “It’s not, but I just tried. I’m literally lying about.”
He added: “I think it’s just ‘JR’ or something. I don’t put ‘Julia Roberts’ because if my phone is picked up, all hell breaks loose.”
The Gravity star hasn’t been shy about talking about mistakes with Batman & Robin in the past. Both critics and fans of the franchise have panned the superhero moviewhich was directed by Joel Schumacher.
“I wasn’t good at it and it wasn’t a good film,” he said at the time, adding: “What I learned from that failure was that I had to rethink how I worked because now I was not just an actor given a role; I was held responsible for the film itself.”
George and Julia, both Oscar winners, have starred together in various films over the years, including 2001’s Ocean’s Eleven, 2002’s Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, 2004’s Ocean’s Twelve and 2016’s Money Monster.
In Ticket to Paradise, the duo play a divorced couple who travel to Indonesia to prevent their daughter from repeating their past mistakes. The Ol Parker directed film is set to hit the big screen on Friday.
