John Cena responds to messages from WWE and AEW Superstars

John Cena returned to “WWE Raw” this week to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his WWE debut, and the company focused the entire episode around him.

WWE has been celebrating Cena for the entire month of June, but this episode was the main focus, with video bundles of his career, while countless wrestlers from his career shared videos talking about him. This included current stars like Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes, legends like Triple H and Stone Cold Steve Austin, and many of the AEW roster members he’s worked with, including Brian Danielson and Chris Jericho.

Cena has been open throughout his appearance on “WWE Raw” about how much his career has affected him, and responded to personal messages he’s received on Twitter.

“Overwhelmed by all the messages that have surfaced this month,” Cena wrote on Twitter. “Being at #WWERaw last night gave me a chance to show how much you mean to me. Thank you WWE for every opportunity you took of me, so I will always continue to give my best for my home, my family, and for the United States.”

All messages are soaked through this month. Being at #WWERaw last night gave me a chance to show you how much you mean to me. Thank you WWE for every opportunity you took of me, so I will always continue to give my best for my home, my family, and the United States.

Cena appeared in several sections throughout the show, arriving at a guard of honor backstage, where several wrestlers gave him a round of applause as he entered the building. He was shown behind the scenes giving advice to various wrestlers from Ezekiel to The Street Profits, while also having a showdown with Seth Rollins.

Cena then cut short a promotion in the ring with a focus on the WWE Universe, taking the 16-time world champion to thank fans for everything they’ve done for him over the years. He made it clear that at some point in the future he would be back in the ring, but he doesn’t know when that moment will happen.

Recently, Cena tweeted back and forth with the current US Champion theory, and the two shared a behind-the-scenes clip about “Raw”. Theory confronted the WWE legend while celebrating his 20th anniversary appearance on the main roster, taking snapshots of him, but Cena walked out when Theory tried to take a selfie.
