Hollyoaks spoilers follow from Monday’s first look episode (October 10), which has yet to be televised but can be seen now on Alle 4.
Hollyoaks star Olly Rhodes has left the soap after five months in the role of villain Joseph Holmes.
Joseph’s final scenes aired in Monday’s first look edition (October 10), which is streaming early All 4 ahead of the telecast tonight.
This allowed DeMarcus to go free finally, after spending the last few weeks locked up for a crime he didn’t commit.
On Monday’s visit to the village, Joseph was questioned down at the police station with his mother Gill.
As Zoe struggled to get Joseph to crack under pressure, she took some advice from Grace Black – who was desperate for justice for her partner’s tragic death.
When Zoe changed tack, Joseph began to slip in the interview before losing his temper completely.
When Zoe insisted that only a coward would stab someone with a knife, Joseph responded aggressively: “I bet that’s what he thought too. Trust me, I’m not to be messed with and I will don’t let someone like you make me feel inadequate.”
The post-credits scene saw Joseph break down in his cell, with Zoe telling an overwhelmed Grace that the teenager had finally confessed.
Digital Spy can confirm that tonight’s first look episode marks the end of Joseph’s tenure on the show. He was introduced as Vicky’s boyfriend back in June.
Hollyoaks streamed first on All 4, with new episodes dropping every morning every weekday. The show airs Monday to Friday at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and 7pm on E4. Selected omnibus episodes are available via Amazon Prime video.
