Haney was extremely grateful to the Kambosos duo, revealing that he and his victorious son had “never studied” an opponent as much as they did for the 29-year-old.

“You have so much fight in you,” Haney said.

“You know, I followed you on Instagram. We watched everything you did. We’ve never studied a fighter as much as we’ve studied you guys. We have the utmost respect for you.”

Jim was effusive in his praise for Devin’s skills, admitting that any pre-match arguments were water under the bridge.

“At the end of the day, everything leading up to a fight is about the emotion and the desire to win,” Jim said.

“You’ve got a very talented young kid. He’s going to be one of the greatest. The thing is, he’s got George’s number. We don’t have Devin’s.”

Jim was also grateful that Haney’s honor the rematch clause and returned down under for the second time in four months.

“Full respect to my man, at the end of the day mate, I’m just so glad you didn’t just take that first fight, you came back to Australia and basically gave that fight the respect it needed to come back for a rematch.”

The trio then made their way through the cavernous hallways of Rod Laver Arena to Haney’s locker room for more photos in a truly classy touch from all involved.
