The 38-year-old former two-time WBC champion was left in a bad way, barely moving on the canvas as referee Harvey Dock immediately waved it off.

Plant mimed digging a grave and pouring the dirt on his floored opponent, with the referee taking exception to the celebration and restraining him from continuing.

“Oh no, don’t. Don’t do it,” said one commenter.

There was plenty of trash talk and bad blood in the lead-up to the match, and Plant addressed it after the match.

“I’m sure you all heard how he (Dirrell) hates me and how he said he’d never let a white boy beat him,” Plant said.

“Let me tell you something – skin doesn’t win battles, skill wins battles.”

He added: “I was in full control the whole time.

“My coach kept telling me to be patient and listen to the game plan, and that’s what we did. And then boom, baby!”

Plant then called out WBC middleweight champion Jermell Charlo, who sat ringside and has been considering moving up a weight class.
