Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale Couple Cain and Moira Dingle have reconciled after their bitter row Faith’s death.
Last month, terminally ill Faith told Moira that she wanted to die at a time of her choosing. Moira was torn when Faith asked her to be there at the end.
Moira made repeated attempts to dissuade Faith, who ended up going through with her plan alone. Cain was able to be there during Faith’s final moments when Moira alerted him that she was worried about his mother.
After another argument, Kain finally sat down with Moira for an honest discussion about what had happened.
With the pair clearly at a crossroads, Moira told Cain he was free to go once she had explained her side of the story.
Moira defended her decision to keep the secret, telling Cain that she became a confidant to Faith since she couldn’t talk to the rest of her family.
Moira said: “I don’t know why she did that in the end without me being there but as soon as I realized what happened I couldn’t bear to think that she was there alone or you know it didn’t, so I told you.
“She was so afraid of losing control — the idea that her brain was getting ahead of her body.”
Cain broke down after hearing the whole story and admitted that his anger stemmed from the fact that he simply wasn’t ready to lose his mother so soon.
As Cain let Moira comfort him, it seemed the pair had reached a breakthrough. Can their marriage survive after all?
Emmerdale sent on weekdays at 19.30 on ITV and streamed on ITV Hub.
