The actor appeared alongside Whitney Dean actress Shawna McGarty and then wore a wig for pictures with Natalie Cassidy (Sonja Fowler), James Farrar (Zach Hudson) and Scott Maslin (Jack Branning).

Fans are convinced that Ricky has already filmed his last scenes.

One wrote: “Ricky, I think EastEnders made a huge mistake in dumping your buddy, I think you’re great on the show, and I hope you have all the success for your future buddy.”

Another post: “This is cool and funny. I hate the fact that you left EastEnders.”

A third commented, “I’ll miss seeing you in EastEnders. Great actor, huge mistake letting you go.”

Another disappointed fan added, “I got the feeling you’re leaving, EE made a huge mistake.”

The new soap producer – who took over from outgoing President John Sen earlier this year – will start an explosive summer with four dramatic exits.

The Sun exclusively revealed that Stewart will be leaving the soap after four years.

He will be joined by Dale Hudson, who has played Ian Bell’s son Peter since 2020.

Actress Dana Monroe will leave Barbara Smith, along with Jada Lennox star Kelsey Calden Smith.

One source said: “When a new president comes along, there will always be big changes and it’s no different with Chris.

“He’s been working hard behind the scenes since January and really planning to turn things around which means goodbye to some of the characters.

“It’s not personal for any of the actors, it’s simply a creative decision – for the big storylines to happen you have to say goodbye to people, that’s the nature of soap.

“Chris has some really big stories planned and viewers will be seeing his work start airing over the summer.

“He’s really keen to get the show back to its roots, and build clans again with some big explosive long stories. It’s an exciting time to be on the show.”

The news comes on the heels of a report that actress Lola Pierce Daniel Harold has been ousted amid a change in her boss.

Danielle made her television series debut in 2011, leaving Walford after four years before reprising her role in 2019.

She is said to have been “cut” after announcing her upcoming exit because she wasn’t expecting to get the cut.

Reports have claimed that Lola will be involved in a great story this summer before she gets killed.

Fans are already expecting her to face a horrific death after she sees dating apps as revenge for betraying boyfriend Isaac Baptiste (Stevie Bassola) abroad.

But since new executive producer Chris Clinshaw has made his mark by cutting out some fan favorites, he’s already thought about new additions to Albert Square.

EastEnders chiefs have revealed that lovable taxi driver Mitch Baker (Roger Griffith) will get some company as his estranged brother Avery is set to arrive in Wolford this summer.
