The Wanted’s Siva Kaneswaran has been confirmed as the final celebrity to take part in Dancing On Ice 2023.

The Glad You Came hitmaker, 33, will join the likes of Vivienneactress and DJ Patsy Palmerfootball’s John Fashanu, Love Island winner Ekin-Su Culculoglu, Olympic gymnast Nile Wilson, Coronation Street’s Mollie Gallagher, Towie star Joey Essex and comedian Darren Harriott.

Liberty X singer Michelle Heaton and Hollyoaks actress Carley Stenson are also on the list.

Speaking about the upcoming gig on Tuesday’s Good Morning Britain, he told presenters Richard Madeley and Susanna Reid: ‘Honestly, I don’t know why I agreed to this.

‘I’m generally very excited, after this I’m off to training and meeting Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean.’

But the star will be out of his comfort zone after admitting he has ‘never’ skated before.

“The Wanted weren’t known for their dancing,” he joked.

‘Jay [McGuiness] will be my lucky charm. I try not to be in a fearful mindset. I’m looking forward to meeting the cast and crew.

‘I’m quite competitive, but not to the point where it’s unhealthy. I just want to put on a show for everyone to see.’

Looking at this year’s cast, the singer believes Michelle and Joey could be the ones to watch.

The 33-year-old singer is known for being in the British-Irish boy band The Wanted, who had top five singles with All Time Low and Heart Vacancy.

Siva was reportedly set to star in Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, but the upcoming series has been hit with disaster as six members of its famous cast have been forced to stop receiving medical treatmentnd.s.

“They are celebrities, not soldiers,” an insider told The Sun. ‘They are not used to the hot, harsh conditions and being pushed to their limits.

‘The people who got sick and were injured were not unfit or out of shape.’

The 11 celebrities are currently training and looking to impress the judging panel, which last year included Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean, Ashley Banjo and Oti Mabuse.

Last year, Regan Gascoigne – whose father is former footballer Paul Gascoigne – danced won the trophy together with professional skater Karina Manta as they beat former Strictly pro Brendan Cole and Vanessa Baeur in the final.

Good Morning Britain is broadcast weekdays at 06.00 and Dancing On Ice returns next January on ITV.
