The Duchess spoke with British Vogue at Clarence House in a rare interview where she revealed she would not give herself ear piercings to celebrate. The Duchess’s 75th year was one of her busiest with work increasing, as she was honored by the Queen as a future Queen, and receiving the Lady Royal in the Order of the Rabat.
Just before her birthday on July 17, Camila revealed her discomfort with her age and told reporters, “You know, my mom died when she was 72, so I’ve outlived my mom, which is very strange.”
Speaking about birthdays in general, the Duchess said: “I let them come and go.
“I mean, I would be very happy to turn back the clock.
“When you get to any big number, whether it’s 30, 50, 70, you think: ‘Oh my God, this is so old. “
Royal birthdays are often big celebrations, often joint celebrations with many guests, such as the joint 40th birthday party planned in the summer for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
However, it looks like Camila is going to have a big celebration to mark this significant event and will instead be a somewhat intimate affair.
She said, “There will not be much celebration. I will spend it with my family and a few friends.”
The Duchess enjoys being a grandmother to the children of her son Tom Parker Bowles and daughter Laura Lopez from her first marriage.

She is 75 years old.
