Burleson, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) – A Burleson elementary school teacher resigned after school officials opened an investigation into something the teacher had said to the student.
In a letter sent to parents of students in the teacher’s class, Principal Lori Allen wrote that the teacher at Clinkscale Elementary had said to the child “something unacceptable.”
Allen wrote that she learned of the incident on September 9, promptly removed the teacher from class and notified the child’s parents. The letter also says the school has submitted a report to state child protection services.
A Burleson Police spokesperson confirmed that an officer had received a tip-off on Thursday about the incident.
Burleson ISD did not immediately respond to questions about how to inform officials of what happened.
Last year, the district agreed to put cameras in classrooms with students with communication difficulties after two teachers were arrested and accused of abusing some special education students.
