Bayern Munich president sends message to Serge Gnabry about Liverpool transfer

Following Sadio Mane’s exit from Liverpool to Bayern Munich, one of his teammates is still making the opposite journey.

Serge Gnabry appears to be on his way out of Munich, with his contract expiring next summer, and so far, no signs of a new contract have been agreed.

With the Reds facing the prospect of losing both Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino on free transfers at the end of the 2022/23 season, replacing them with the former Arsenal winger could be an excellent addition.

And while Bayern were intent on keeping Gnabry, they admit they would have to find a “solution” if he had set his heart on leaving.

Jurgen Klopp has been named the ‘main’ reason why Sadio Mane left Liverpool

Critic Trevor Sinclair has claimed comments made by Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp are one of the “three reasons” Mane replaced Merseyside with Munich.

The Senegalese star ended his six-year stay at Anfield this week when he opted to join the German giants in a £35m deal, and Klopp was quick to pay tribute to the striker, calling him “one of Liverpool’s greatest players of all time”.

But former Manchester City winger Sinclair believes Klopp’s comments about last November’s Africa Cup of Nations, which were widely taken out of context and which he clarified shortly after, played a role in Mane’s going, along with two other ‘reasons’.
