Fans of Antoine Fuqua Equalizer We are excited about the upcoming sequel that will bring two of Hollywood’s biggest stars together for the first time in 20 years. Earlier this month, it was announced that Denzel Washington and Dakota Fanning will be partnering Equalizer 3who will direct Fuqua. Washington and Fanning starred in the 2004 Tony Scott-directed thriller man on fire. In the film, Washington plays a CIA agent named John W. Creasy, who goes on a rampage out of revenge after his client, nine-year-old Lupita “Peta” Ramos (Fanning), is kidnapped in Mexico City. The duo shared great on-screen chemistry in the movie, and now they’re bringing the band back together.
During an interview day Beard and baldness Podcast with Fuqua and David DiGilio, Fuqua explained what it was like for the cast to meet Washington and Fanning for Eq 3.
“I think I was talking to Denzel,” Fuqua remembers. We were just talking on the phone [The Equalizer 3]And the man on fire It was talked about [late director Tony Scott]And we talked about it [his] A birthday was coming up, I think, and Dakota [Fanning] I went up, and I was, “How old is Dakota now?” And we were like, ‘Oh yeah, she’s the right age,’ and I said, ‘It would be nice to have her back.’ That’s how it sort of happened, and then I met her, and I fell in love with her as soon as I walked into the room and met her. I mean, she’s a great actress, but you meet people. It’s unbelievable.
I’d like to be a fly on the wall when Washington and Fanning meet on set Eq 3. I wish someone would capture it in a movie and share it as a satisfying story to produce.
